SND On The Road??

So would people like to take SND to the farm house in Jan. or Feb? Right now I have open Sat. Jan 19th or Sat. Feb. 2. On Mon. Jan 21, we have MLK day, so, depending on people's work schedules, we could stay two nights until Monday. Also, we could leave on a Friday for either wknd as far as I'm concerned. Let's discuss if either wknd works for people, or propose other ones further into the future. Please also be hereby officially informed that the farm house has flies living in the walls that sleep during the week and play on wknds. Sometimes there are many, buzzing around, being annoying, though nothing more. If you can't stand flies, you probably will not love the farm house, unless we have managed to kill them all by then.

Madiba reaction

Comments on Sara's bronchitis blog work for now as the post-Madiba wrap-up. But if we want to call ourselves a blog, we need to get a decent post up about last night's festivities. What I really want, of course, is for Nate to e-mail me the pictures he took of me dancing with the African gentleman. Then I'll be glad to post a proper blog on our fabulous Ft. Greene dining experience.

Notes from underground

Well, I went to the doctor this morning and got a diagnosis of bronchitis, plus prescriptions for an antibiotic and a fun cough syrup with a "narcotic" in it (hoping for codeine!) so I should be all good for Wednesday's screening. In the meantime, please fill me in on what I missed...

If you're trying to find me, e-mail is best since my Treo is gone. I can't get phone or text messages. I have no idea how long I'll be sans phone/remote e-mail. I feel like I'm a contestant on the fake reality show entitled, "Disconnected" about type-A's torn away from modern day communication devices.

*sniffle*

I've got a new level of sympathy for Kyle's bout with the flu, as I seem to have it today. Going home and into hibernation now; hoping to chug enough Airborne to be all better (read: hungry) by Sunday.

NBR reaction + a yes to Madiba this Sunday

I read the NBR results on the comments of Peter's latest post, and I can't tell you you how thrilled George and I are at his being singled out as Best Actor. We are looking forward to a very warm and happy holiday.

George is also saddened that he is not a member of SND and therefor cannot attend this Sunday's dinner at Madiba. George just loves South African cuisine.

December 9th is rapidly approaching

You know what's great about the shuffle funtion of itunes? Every once in awhile a song comes on that you never thought you wanted to hear but you did, in this case Easy Lover by Phil Collins and Phillip Bailey. Whatever happened to Phillip Bailey? Was he anybody before the song? Did he do anything after it?

In case you haven't noticed I'm a bit bored today and don't feel like working on any of my movies, even the ones I actually like. I am also not so patiently waiting for the National Board of Review to announce their Best Films of the year - the first organization to do so each year. And while the group itself is a joke, somehow they still make a lot of noise every year and we all anxiously await for this corrupt organization to announce their results. so let's hope for some Warner love...

Anyway to get to the main subject at hand, I don't believe we have decided on a location for what may very well be the final SND of the year where everyone comes.
