a HUGE 4th of July

Well we've hit a bit of a early summer lull at SND, so I thought I'd post just to keep the blog company. Cause, you know, he's lonely.

I highly recommend the new show from Winnie Holzman, the creator of My So-Called life, and her daughter Savannah. It's called Huge, and it's on ABC Family, and while it's not in the league of MSCL (what could be?), it's still quite charming. And I just found out that Winnie is married to Paul Dooley, who played Patty Chase's father on MSCL and was Molly Ringwald's father in 16 Candles. And he has a small part in the new show, which also has music my Snuffy Walden (who did the MSCL and FNL music). It's a family affair. I'VE BEEN OPERATING ON THE ASSUMPTION THAT BETWEEN N'S GARDEN FIESTA, PETER'S TRIP TO OH, AND JACKIE AND KYLE'S SOJOURN TO PA, THAT WE WERE OFF FOR OFFICIAL SND. I OPERATED SO FULLY UNDER THAT ASSUMPTION THAT I ACTUALLY MADE OTHER PLANS :)

It may be grossly derivative, but I really enjoyed Lady G's latest video. Who doesn't love a good orgy with shirtless bowl-cut-sporting gentlemen? Anyhoo, dinner? Where shall we go?

I sure wish Ryan Gosling were part of SND. But he's not, and we all just have to deal with it. So what's the deal with Sunday? Who's in? Where should we go?

I know our plans are officially set for a BBQ at Nathaniel's, but in the interests of both history and planning, I thought we could acknowledge and then discuss food-related choices on the blog.

Hello darlings! Who is around and in for this weekend? I know Claudie is in Pittsburgh, but who else is here?

Also, Sara and I have another weekend with no train service for us F-liners (and that is so annoying for so many reason). There is a shuttle bus F, but I hate buses. I digress. Food? Location? Attendees?
