So how many months does the US Open go on for, anyway?
Sorry... for those of us unfortunate enough to not be sports fans it FEELS like a long time. Anyway, the Emmys are much more up my alley, and I'm assuming the rest of you are at least vaguely interested- do we want to plan a dinner around that?
P.S. I did watch the video of that Federer between-the-legs shot from last night. That was pretty amazing.

OOPS. I take it all back. I mean, no, have an Emmy SND if you want. Unfortunately I will be at a comedy show at Union Hall- closing night of the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, with standup from Michael Showalter and my fave, Daniel Kitson, among others. Anyone who's comedy-minded is of course welcome to join us- should be a really good show.
Sad you'll miss the Emmys Sara. I'd love to host at my house is everyone is up for it. Thoughts?

Actually, I can probably come for the later part of the show, come to think of it. I think the show's at 7, should be out by 9, and it's a not-far walk from Peter's.
OK - had coffee with a woman who runs the internship program for NU in NY. Was telling her about our SND group and she wants the NU mag to do a story about us! She said it's just like when we were in school and had to go out ervery Sunday since there was no meal plan on Sunday. Hadn't thought of that- but funny, right? We need to supply a photo - so let's start thinking about one that is representative!
As for food...Nath and I are flying in that afternoon so prob won't have time to cook. So up to you guys. Of course David can come, and I believe Domn will be joining us too. And if you guys haven't read the NY Mag article on Neil Patrick Harris, read it now!!!

OMG, love the idea of the NU mag article. The Christmas pics are pretty great although they don't capture the restauranty element. I'm partial to the one's at Sam's restaurant on Court St, where we're standing in front of the logo.
For Sunday, turns out the comedy thing doesn't start till 8:30 so Chris and I could probably come by at 7 (if we start then) for an hour at least.
Lastly: anyone here an expert on car rentals? I need to get one for our trip to Montreal next month and am not well-versed.
I land late afternoon Sunday from Vegas which is currently 100 degrees.
Requesting 2nd TV to be tuned to Giants/Cowboys game on NBC, which is almost as important to me as the Emmy Awards. Agreed on NPH piece in NY Mag. Beyond good, entertaining, and I'm seriously obsessed.

So come any time after 6:30 for red carpet. Emmys start at 8. Yes we will have 2nd TV on Giants game.
I'm bringing over 1/4 of a cheesecake, 3/4s of a fruit tart, and a box of cookies, all of which is from the awesome RH dinner I attended last night. So I guess I'm saying don't bringing dessert.
