This weekend the first of the SND crew turns 40 - our very own Nathaniel Frank. In honor of that we will be having a very special SND meal. Now I know we discussed the perfect location for said dinner - yet I cannot remember where that is. Can someone help me out?

Well hello SND! nice to see you again. Are you around this Sunday, cause I would love to see you!

I went to the Arthur set - and let me tell you it was sort of strange to watch little Jason Winer directing a big studio film. I had also forgotten how strangely he over-enunciates everything. But the movie looks very fun - and I got to meet Greta Gerwig, who I may officially love. Back to the set on Monday with Mark Harris who's doing a piece for the Times.

Our Session Is Almost Over...

Kyle's and my time here is more than half way over. This stinks. But it has also made us realize how many restaurants we want to go to before we head back West. Here are some of my suggestions for dinner this week:
1. Olea (tapas in Fort Greene)
2. Dino (brand new in Fort Greene; simple rustic Italian)

In other news, tomorrow morning they announce the Emmy nominations and while I fully anticipate Friday Night Lights will yet again be completely ignored, I do hold out hope that (Northwestern grad!) Zach Gilford may be finally recognized, as he was amazing this year, and he qualifies in the less competitive Guest Actor category - rather than supporting. And in case you're wondering (oh and I know you are) below is my dream Emmy comedy and drama ballot.

a HUGE 4th of July

Well we've hit a bit of a early summer lull at SND, so I thought I'd post just to keep the blog company. Cause, you know, he's lonely.

I highly recommend the new show from Winnie Holzman, the creator of My So-Called life, and her daughter Savannah. It's called Huge, and it's on ABC Family, and while it's not in the league of MSCL (what could be?), it's still quite charming. And I just found out that Winnie is married to Paul Dooley, who played Patty Chase's father on MSCL and was Molly Ringwald's father in 16 Candles. And he has a small part in the new show, which also has music my Snuffy Walden (who did the MSCL and FNL music). It's a family affair.
