Player is definitely legendary. We were imagining putting antlers on him a la The Grinch but are pretty sure he would object. Anyway, the menu. We are planning meatballs (or something in the meatball family), and roasted kale, and various apps, and my famous (not really) mulled cider. I was thinking of outsourcing salad, dessert and beer/wine. Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. As promised, I will bring all of the fixings for gingerbread houses, including the actual architectural foundations.

And I'll bring some wine, too.

Let me discuss with Moose and see if we want to do salad or dessert.

Peter, we should get some of that rosé...

Peter said...

mmmmmmmm....Rose

Peter said...

Moose and I will do dessert.

OK, I'll do salad and wine (or Petey, I loved that Rose so if you have I'll pitch in). Will attempt to recreate shaved brussels and pecorino salad from Frankies cookbook!

YUMMMM.

I'm also bringing cranberry sauce since Chris has never tried it. It may not go with anything...but I'm still doing it!

well, Petey, if you're doing cranberry sauce, I think you should also bring brie or goatcheese, because otherwise it may indeed be a standalone. Or we can use it to characterize a murder scene for the gingerbread house :)

I happen to love CS.

Liking the cranberry/soft cheese combo idea. Chris HAS tried it now, at my insistence, but only just.

Ok, sorry I'm late to the game as usual. So it looks like I should bring wine right? And if I am inspired to bring additional dessert?

So I bought brie but to be honest I have never understood the cranberry/brie connection. Perhaps someone could show me tonight.

I just realized I don't have crackers/bread for this brie. Is that important?
