Saturday Night Dinner (party)
So, was just talking with Brek and we both are planning to table SND for this weekend, as we have Peter's party and Miranda's reading. That cool? And we'll resume the following Sunday....
Yeah, looks like the reading is from 5 - 8pm, so when do we think Miranda's turn will be? I want to support her, but I don't want 3 hours in a basement.
The three hours anywhere is too long. Could we ask her to arrange it that she's up at 6:30? Then we can sneak out after for a cheap eat and quick drink?
Had no idea about 5-8pm and other readers until just now. i emailed Miranda to ask what the deal is and will report back immediately. i would not survive a 3 hours reading unless fed a constant diet of pork and alcohol
OK I cleared this one up. The actual reading is from 5-6 - 4 writers, 15 mins each. We can skip out after that. She put 8pm there for people who wanted to hang out and eat there...so we can do whatever we want and play it by ear. Should be warm!
Sad I'll miss the party and the Sun Nite Whateveritendsupbeing, espec since i almost made sun nite. In other news, I was SO touched that Kyle made it to my LA book reading. I miss him!!
PS-I think it's so cool to announce that I'm posting this FROM the train to San Diego.
Um... I completely missed the spring forward thing until I woke up this morning. So I am even more behind than I already was in reaching a deadline I have for tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make any part of tonight. Have to see how the next few hours go. Happy Spring Sunday.
Yeah... I am really sorry to bail too but Chris and I ended up having a long, long, long talk last night and I went to sleep at 4:45 (thanks, daylight savings!) and had to get up at 8:30 to do the weekly Trader Joe's mission with Thoanna. I know I should probably make myself go out just so I won't think about the high probability that Chris and I are going to break up, but I'm simply too tired to go anywhere. Please tell Miranda I'm sorry and give her my sob story if you want.

Sure - though was thinking we could just go out after Miranda's reading. I'm up for anything. (Nathaniel is not coming back until Monday morning, fyi)

I have to say, everyone -- Kyle, Claudia, Nathaniel -- who was not at Peter's tonight was greatly missed!! But still, a really nice night.
Cricket is planning to come to Miranda's reading tomorrow and asked if she could join for dinner. Everyone OK with that?
