SUNDAY IS COMING!

I've been meaning to start this chain - but got sidetracked. Very excited for dinner on Sunday. Where should we go? I know some places have been thrown out in previous week - just not sure where people have been.

And we will have a celebratory drink for Nathaniel's NY Times review!

So who's in?

Topic #1: Natasha Ru\ichardson. I can't even process it. One thing that confuses me is people saying she wasn't wearing a "helmet." um - was she riding a motorcycle down the slope? when did people need to wear helmets to fucking ski? and how can falling on a bunny trail kill you?

I know- Joanna was telling me there's a big debate now about how maybe all skiers should wear helmets. I'm glad I got out back in middle school. But yes... incredibly sad and shocking. And nothing even really happened!

In other news, I am in.

As a life-long skiier, who as of the past four years skis with a helmet, I am livid about the media making an issue of her not wearing a helmet. A beginner's lesson on a bunny slope? That's like suggesting you wear a helmet walking down the street.

I couldn't be more excited to toast Nathaniel! So excited! (But I am running out of suggestions. I will think...)

I am totally in for Sunday.
I am totally devastated by NR.
I can't ski, but I can tell that blaming her passing on no helmet is like taking away our nail scissors at airport security.
The American Way.
Ugh. Terrible.
Sara had rec'd that comfort food place in Ft Greene?

Also, apparently a lot of traumatic brain injury does involve a delay of symptoms of btw 30 minutes and 24 hours, so people should from here on out go to the hospital if they get hurt! I can think of two times in which i totally should have been checked out-- a terrible car accident in LA and then once when I literally flipped over in a porch swing and landed right on my head on a very very hard floor. (yes, i am very clumsy)

But if it happens again (and we all know if prob will), I will have it looked at.

I can't believe Natasha R died by falling on a bunny, and I don't even know who she is! Is she related to Kerah's mom?

Ok, I am SO f'ing excited to huddle with my peeps away from the paparazzi on Sunday that I have moved mountains to be there--including taking a red-eye home from an unexpected 12-hour trip to Las Vegas Saturday to be paraded around in front of the 200 richest gay donors in the country. In fairness, that red-eye necessitated me flying first class on Virgin--did I tell you I've officially become a diva?

One suggestion: Seven by Sara's C-train stop in FG. Not super cheap, but lovely and new.

Can't wait!!

I've been wanting to try that place, too. I say let's go for it.

I was so looking forward to seeing Nathaniel before he announced that he's a diva now ...

OK, Seven on Sunday at 7pm. It is ON.

(Kyle next week!)
