Proud

Hi everyone,
I just want to say how proud and impressed I am with you all. Sunday's canvassing really moved me and reminded me why we're such a special, unique and incredible group of people. I know I'm totes mushed out right now, but I feel nothing but proud to know you all. You inspire me so much. Hope everyone can make it to Pete's for Thursday's debate. I'm going to try and get us all one of these poster for our homes/windows. Go Biden!

New String for This Sunday

Hi everyone,

As much as I love hunting through your commentary, I thought it wise to start a new string regarding this Sunday's SND. Seems like everyone is iffy (Nate/Philly, Pete/work, K&J/driving back from PA), and Claude is out/mom. Sara and I may also be beat from our day of canvassing. If the debate goes on, we can call Friday night our SND for the weekend, and whoever wants to can play Sunday night by ear? Sound good?

Also, did everyone see Letterman last night? Amazing!

Brekke! Thanks so much for hosting last night! It was the perfect night after Kyle's and my long day. To everyone who contributed in making/bringing the ton of food I ate, thank you too.

For those of us who plan to watch the debate in real-time on Friday, please share any ideas about how to make the event social. If not, we can all blog/email about it endlessly the next day --- or during.

I will be flying home from England at 7:25pm (allegedly). Yes, it's optimistic to think I could join you for dinner but you never know--customs had been faster since 9/11 (i'm serious!). So if people are feeling flexible and want to meet at 7:30 or even 8 (ok, ok, 7:30?) in hopes that I can join half way through, that'd be awesome! Someone can text me where you'll be.

special dinner sunday?

I have an itch to cook a 5-course Northern Italian dinner of filet mignon. Would be nice to do it with you guys, and while it's still nice out, in case we could eat outside. Also some blend of Peter and I are out for a few of the subsequent SND's. So I'm thinking this Sunday. Do people want to do this at my place this Sunday, if everyone is in? It would cost $10 + wine each. I have no investment in doing this as an SND if people would rather stick to restaurants--I can do this on a non SND too, but wanted to put this out there as an offer.

So, Sunday? It's the Open final, which most of us will probably want to watch at some point. We could:
1) meet late pm and watch/hang/eat together at either a bar or apt
2) meet normal time and employ the DVR
3) meet on the late side (post-Open)
Who's in? And for which option?
